President Eisenhower’s Alleged Meeting with Grey Aliens from the Perspective of the Hybrid Program

When my memories of alien contact surfaced to my awareness I was surprised to learn the Beings had alluded to communication with a government, as they did in my tenth and eighteenth contact events. As well, the afterlife vision in the white room showed an interspecies communication occurring in the 1940s or 50s in which humans made a choice regarding how they involved themselves with aliens over the next several decades.

When I began researching I quickly stumbled upon a story that President Eisenhower met with aliens on February 20th and 21st of 1954. This story sounded like a great fabrication for a nice conspiracy theory, except it was not about his administration meeting with strange looking aliens, or even Grey aliens, but with humanoid aliens. This immediately caught my attention, because if someone was going to lie and fabricate a story, why wouldn’t they make up something wilder. When you're new to this field you assume it would be very unlikely, statistically speaking, for aliens to look like humans.

Yet learning from my own contact events and others, humanoid aliens are in fact common in the phenomenon, I began to take this possible meeting between aliens and an American president seriously. I found that there is circumstantial and testimonial evidence that it occurred with President Eisenhower.

In this essay I analyze this circumstantial and testimonial evidence for an Eisenhower meeting with aliens and how it appears to have set the stage for the remaining decades of alien contact, just as I saw in the white room in my first contact event.

Source of our Knowledge of the Meeting

We first hear that President Eisenhower met with a race of aliens in a private letter dated April 16th, 1954, written by Gerald Light to Meade Layne. Gerald Light was a well-known writer and lecturer in the metaphysical community at the time. And Meade Layne was the director of Borderland Sciences Research Associates, a parapsychology and psychic research institute. The letter is available on the research institute’s website which is also listed in the references.

Light gives details in his letter of a first contact event he witnessed between an alien race of humanoids and high-ranking government and military men. He had come with several community leaders that were brought in to help gauge the response of the public. The names of the community leaders provided by Gerald Light are verifiably real people and do reflect a plausible group for such a purpose.

Gerald White’s letter to Meade Layne gives testimony that it was during Eisenhower’s vacation in Palm Springs, in February 1954, when he went to Edwards Air Force Base and participated in a first contact event. The Dwight D. Eisenhower Library in Abilene, Kansas, does mention that on the night of February 20th, 1954, Eisenhower made an unscheduled departure from the Smoking Tree Ranch, in Palm Springs, where he was staying. The next morning, he attended a church service in Los Angeles. That morning his spokesman announced that he had been taken to the dentist. That night at a gathering, the dentist Dr. Francis A. Purcell confirmed the President had indeed seen him. Yet, when UFO researchers investigated the dentist’s office, they were unable to produce a record of the visit that night.

UFO researcher William Moore points out that the nature of the vacation to Palm Springs is also strange as Eisenhower was just on a vacation trip less than a week prior. Palm Springs is a two-and-a-half-hour drive to Edwards Airforce Base so it is conceivable he went there.

Also, whatever occurred the night of the 20th generated so much confusion that the Associated Press had reported that President Eisenhower had died. They then retracted the announcement. Reporting the death of a president is no small mistake and why this happened was unclear.

Therefore, the date of February 20-21st, 1954, for this meeting seems plausible, but it is hard to know for certain.

Reputable Sources

The next evidence comes from testimony from career officials, whether from within the government or within the military. As servicemen retire, they feel more comfortable to provide testimonial evidence of Eisenhower's meeting with aliens. These people put their careers and reputations on the line to share what they witnessed in classified documents, yet it is not without the threat of consequence. In December 1953, the Joint Chiefs of Staff issued Army-Navy-Air Force publication 146, criminalizing the unauthorized release of information regarding unidentified flying objects. The punishment is up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

In regard to testimony of individuals who were at the meeting, Col. Phillip Corso, a highly decorated officer that served in Eisenhower’s National Security Council, alluded in his memoirs that he was there when a treaty was signed by the Eisenhower administration and extraterrestrials.

Also, Charles L. Suggs (1909-1987), who was a former Commander with the US Navy, attended the first contact meeting at Edwards Air force base with Eisenhower on February 20-21, 1954. This is according to his son Charles L. Suggs, a retired Sgt. for the US Marine Corps.

There are plenty of government and military whistleblowers who have gone on record with their knowledge of classified information that Eisenhower made an agreement with aliens.

One whistleblower is John Lear, son of the famous creator of the Lear Jet, William Lear. John Lear is a former Lockheed L-1011 Captain who flew over 150 test aircraft and was a contract pilot for the CIA. Lear had a close relationship with CIA Director (DCI) William Colby. Lear has gone on record with his knowledge that a meeting with extraterrestrials and Eisenhower occurred at Edwards Air Force Base.

Another whistleblower is Phil Schneider, a former geological engineer that was employed by corporations contracted to build underground bases. He worked extensively on black projects involving extraterrestrials.

Another whistleblower is Dr Michael Wolf, a scientific consultant for presidents, claimed to have served on various policy-making committees responsible for extraterrestrial affairs for twenty-five years. He claims that the Eisenhower administration entered into a treaty with an extraterrestrial race and that this treaty was never ratified as constitutionally required.

Also, a former Pentagon and U.S. Congress consultant, Timothy Good, claims to know that Eisenhower had three meetings with extraterrestrial beings and one of those locations was at Edwards Air Force Base.

Bill Kirklin was a medic at Holloman Air Force Base in 1955. What Kirklin knows for certain is the same day Eisenhower visited Holloman, Kirklin’s colleges had witnessed a UFO land on the base and watched  Eisenhower walk into it.

And then there are those who witnessed internal classified documentation of the meeting.

Don Phillips is a former Air Force serviceman and employee on secret aviation projects who testified having seen documents describing the meeting between President Eisenhower and extraterrestrials, and the creation of a written agreement between them.

And William Cooper served on the Naval Intelligence briefing team for the Commander of the Pacific Fleet between 1970-73 and had access to classified documents that he had to review in order to fulfill his briefing duties. He describes documentation he witnessed describing a first contact event with extraterrestrials.

Between all the testimonies there are minor discrepancies but the commonalities between them allows us to create a general picture of what occurred. Combined with what the Beings shared with me about the hybrid program, this is my interpretation.

The First Contact Event

Apparently, President Eisenhower, a group of high-level government,military personnel, and chosen community leaders, had gathered at Edwards Air Force Base on the night of February 20th, 1954. Over a period of forty-eight hours, they were part of a first contact event with humanoid aliens from another solar system, representing their species. Navy Commander Charles L. Suggs had claimed the aliens were two white-haired Nordic looking humanoids with pale blue eyes and colourless lips. 

It is fascinating to imagine if there were any niceties or displays of courteous behaviour between either species. Did the alien humanoids speak in telepathy? Did they speak to the entire group in group telepathy?

From experience I have witnessed highly evolved non human intelligences, whether they are humanoids or Greys, can display similar behaviour between themselves. My experience with the Greys is they always cut to the chase and avoid small talk, so it could be imagined this happened that night.

In a dialogue apparently the aliens asked questions about America’s nuclear testing and requested that humans stop using nuclear weapons, stop nuclear testing, and dismantle their nuclear armory. Icould be presumed they came to America as a world leader and that this request was meant for the planet. They said that they could help with this process.

According to Gerald White, that night he saw five different UFOs being studied and analyzed by Air Force officials with the help and assistance of the humanoids. Possibly this was the first-time humans, in an official capacity, were witnessing their thought controlled crafts. At some point the humans asked for an exchange of technology, in which the aliens responded with a desire for humanity to become more spiritual. According to William Cooper:

“(The humanoids) refused to exchange technology citing that we were spiritually unable to handle the technology which we then possessed. They believed that we would use any new technology to destroy each other.”

He continued:

“This race stated that we were on a path of self-destruction and we must stop killing each other, stop polluting the Earth, stop raping the Earth's natural resources, and learn to live in harmony.”

Importantly, with the Greys ability to see future timelines, it could be assumed this warning was from actual knowledge of a future event and not a moral opinion.

Instead of a technology exchange the humanoids wanted humanity to focus on our spiritual development. What this means is unclear, but it appears the humanoids may have demonstrated something about their spiritual powers to the humans in the room.

Gerald White wrote:

“The reality of the "other plane" aeroforms is now and forever removed from the realms of speculation and made a rather painful part of the consciousness of every responsible scientific and political group.”

“In some instance I could not stifle a wave of pity that arose in my own being as I watched the pathetic bewilderment of rather brilliant brains struggling to make some sort of rational explanation which would enable them to retain their familiar theories and concepts. And I thanked my own destiny for having long ago pushed me into the metaphysical woods and compelled me to find my way out...I had forgotten how commonplace things as dematerialization of "solid" objects had become to my own mind. The coming and going of an etheric, or spirit body has been so familiar to me these many years I had forgotten that such a manifestation could snap the mental balance of a man not so conditioned. I shall never forget those forty-eight hours at Muroc (Edwards Air Force Base)!”

It appears the humanoids may have removed their spirit energy from their body, or maybe they turned themselves into orbs. All things I and other contactees have seen aliens do. It also appears they may have manipulated matter in front of the group, which has been witnessed by some contactees of the Greys. So, this could have been a live demonstration, possibly to show the power of consciousness, and that the nature of the universe is spiritual.

Gerald White described the atmosphere of the meeting:

“I have never seen so many human beings in a state of complete collapse and confusion, as they realized that their own world had indeed ended with such finality as to beggar description.”

Light describes an event filled with panic and confusion of those present, and a large difference of opinion in regard to telling the public, and how to respond to these off world visitors.

The humanoids go on to warn the humans about the Greys. Their message seems to have been something along the lines of, Let us help you become more spiritual and disarm your nuclear weapons, otherwise the Greys will have to involve themselves.

In hindsight, from what I was told in my tenth contact event, about the Greys motivation for involving themselves with our human world, this could have meant Let us help your society become more spiritual or else the Greys and their hybrid program is the only other option. Or maybe better put, “…a reseeding of the population is the only other option.”

But possibly the hybrid program was never mentioned. From my experience with the Greys, when we lack understanding about something, they simply omit the information. So, it’s very possible they didn’t mention it that day. Either way, the Greys were pitted as the “bad cop” of the scenario, or at least, a last resort option, with humans making the ultimate decision about our future.

It was perceived by most testimonies that the humanoids warned the humans about the Greys, and they would help but only with the exchange of letting them help us become more spiritual.

William Cooper wrote:

“These terms were met with extreme suspicion, especially the major condition of nuclear disarmament. It was believed that meeting that condition would leave us helpless in the face of an obvious alien threat. We also had nothing in history to help with the decision. Nuclear disarmament was not considered to be within the best interest of the United States. The overtures were rejected.”

This is consistent with my own contact events in which the Twin described that their species were stepping in because humans were required to save the planet, and we either choose not to, or didn’t understand the gravity of the situation. Importantly the Twin pointed out that the Greys saw this outcome centuries ago. It was the creation of the nuclear weapon, and subsequent interactions with the humans in the 50s, meaning possibly Eisenhower’s meeting, in which humans were given the last opportunity to avert the hybrid program.

The Agreement with the Greys

Apparently, at some unknown time a second meeting occurred between Eisenhower and the Grey aliens where an agreement was reached.

According to William Cooper:

“The treaty stated that the aliens would not interfere in our affairs, and we would not interfere in theirs. We would keep their presence on earth a secret. They would furnish us with advanced technology and would help us in our technological development. They would not make any treaty with any other Earth nation. They could abduct humans on a limited and periodic basis for the purpose of medical examination and monitoring of our development, with the stipulation that the humans would not be harmed, would be returned to their point of abduction, would have no memory of the event, and that the alien nation would furnish Majesty Twelve with a list of all human contacts and abductees on a regularly scheduled basis.”

According to Phil Schneider this treaty with Grey aliens circumvented the constitution of the United States and was never ratified as was constitutionally required. The treaty was called the 1954 Greada Treaty.

Significantly, several whistleblowers argue that the treaty that was signed involved some coercion on the part of the extraterrestrials. According to documentation Don Phillips had read there was some idea that the Greys, “asked if we would allow them to be here and do research. I have read that our reply was well, how can we stop you? You are so advanced.”

Col. Phillip Corso, a highly decorated officer that served in Eisenhower’s National Security Council, who could have been there that night wrote in his memoir:

“We had negotiated a kind of surrender with them (extraterrestrials) as long as we couldn’t fight them. They dictated the terms because they knew what we most feared was disclosure.” 

The overall sentiment was one of distrust of the Greys and that humans kind of negotiated a surrender.

According to Cooper:

“By 1955 it became obvious that the aliens had deceived Eisenhower and had broken the treaty…. It was suspected that the aliens were not submitting a complete list of human contacts and abductees to the Majesty Twelve and it was suspected that not all abductees had been returned.”

Lear suggested;

 “… a deal was struck that in exchange for advanced technology from the aliens we would allow them to abduct a very small number of persons and we would periodically be given a list of those persons abducted. We got something less than the technology we bargained for and found the abductions exceeded by a million-fold than what we had naively agreed to.”

Both of the above testimonies paint the Greys as a negative and almost maniacal force. It is important to mention though that as of the present, we know from David Grusch’s testimony, the highest ranking whistleblower to ever swear under oath that the United States Government has an UAP crash retrieval program, alongside the statements made form Lui Elizondo, the ex-head of the Pentagons UAP program, that the aliens are dimensional by nature and human comprehension plays into our ability to understand them. When we lack comprehension they appear to share very little, possibly not to create ontological shock, until we gain the ability to  comprehend on our own terms. I am of the mind that our human inability to comprehend the Greys can make their intentions appear more negative than they truly are.

Could an Agreement with Grey Aliens Exist?

Some features of the testimonies about an agreement between President Eisenhower and Grey aliens do seem to define the UAP and abduction phenomenon in the decades proceeding 1954.

Taking the individual points of the testimony from the whistleblowers, I will break each down. These are;

●       The Abductions

●       The Request to Disarm Nuclear Weapons

●       An Exchange for Technology

●       Consistent Communication with Grey Aliens.

I then explore what this plausible group that interacts with the Greys could know about their plans. And lastly, I explore where it is possible humans went wrong in our evolution that put us in our present predicament.

The Abductions

Before 1954 the reports of alien contact events appear to be more of a space brother scenario in which aliens would interact with a human and then give them a ride in their ship.

After 1954, the reports of contact events changed to an abduction style. With the first published case appearing to be the famous Betty and Barney Hill abduction in 1961. In Dr. David Jacobs book The Threat: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (1999) he reports that he learned from a private conversation with Betty Hill, that a semen extraction was conducted on Barney. Betty herself was examined if she was pregnant. This crucial piece of information shows from the very beginning this was not about medical examinations but was about the hybrid program.

It could even be asked why would any curious, scientifically focused, species need to conduct so many “medical examinations?” It could be assumed Eisenhower and his team may have asked the same question. I am troubled to believe that with the possibility of an alien threat Eisenhower’s team did not seek more information on these apparent “medical examinations.” In no science, in our human world, do we take hundreds of thousands, or possibly millions, of examinations on any single thing we are studying. But taking sperm and genetic sampling of so many humans would be characteristic of trying to model the genetics of an entire population. Something you might do if you were reseeding that population.

We may never know if the hybrid program was ever mentioned in this possible agreement, or if it was even communicated to the leadership in any form. Maybe the Greys left it out, or maybe there’s a body that knows exactly what’s going on. But again, I think it’s important to mention that I have found the Beings omit information, not out of deception, but when we lack understanding of it’s benefit or importance.

Regardless of whistleblower testimonies, it seems we don’t have enough information on what possibly was agreed upon, or the level of detail shared or accepted by either party when it comes to abductions.

The Request to Disarm Nuclear Weapons

The idea of humanoid aliens wanting humans to disarm our nuclear weaponry is consistent with UFO sightings that will occur over the next several decades.

In the documentary UFOs and Nukes: The Secret Link Revealed (2016) by Robert Hastings, U.S. Air Force nuclear missile launch officers go on record with their accounts of UFOs that have been spotted at nuclear missile silos. These officers, who have the possibility of ruining their reputations, admit to UFO sightings and witnessing UFOs interacting with nuclear facilities, even turning nuclear missiles on and off. It appears, over decades, all the American nuclear missile silos have had UFO activity. What is obvious is the occupants of UFOs have demonstrated an interest in human nuclear weaponry.

Even a famous close encounter UFO event, the Rendlesham forest incident in 1980, in which several officers had close contact with several different UFOs, was outside an army base in England that held nuclear missiles.

There are also plenty of contact events that involve aliens telling a human in some way or another that they don’t like humans using nuclear weapons. Many contactees have been told that other aliens in other places can feel the destruction caused by nuclear weapons.

I am reminded that the Elder showed me that the nature of the Universe is “layers of lands” (i.e., dimensions) stacked on top of one another. It’s very possible then that our human destruction, and our potential for nuclear war, is affecting more than humans can conceive. Possibly we are creating a “disturbance in the force,” if you will.

An Exchange for Technology

A possible technology exchange between aliens and humans would explain how the US government, apparently, is in possession of alien crafts. This is according to whistleblower Bob Lazar, who has claimed he was part of a government program which attempted to reverse engineer an alien craft in their possession.

Astrophysicist Eric Davis, who worked as a consultant for the Pentagon, also claimed he worked on alien craft which was in the possession of the American government. In a July 23rd, 2020, New York Times article, he claimed he gave a classified briefing to a Defense Department agency about materials he had worked on from “off-world vehicles not made on this earth.”

Consistent Communication with Grey Aliens

What is also telling about this agreement is that the government continued, and possibly continues, to have communication with the Beings. There are some mass UFO sightings and abduction cases that hint at a government that has prior knowledge of the event.

For example, the Westall sighting of April 6, 1966. It was the biggest mass sighting in Australia with over 200 witnesses observing three UFOs that floated over an elementary school, pictures were taken, it landed on a nearby field, aliens were witnessed and interacted with children, and then floated vertically before flying away. Yet within twenty minutes of the sighting two army trucks filled with a dozen soldiers appeared to collect and erase evidence, with a high degree of secrecy immediately following. The soldiers were identified as, not just the Australian military, but also the United States Air Force.

A quote from military historian Lt. Col. Neil Smith in Carmel McAloon’s documentary Westall ‘66: A Suburban UFO Mystery (2010) reveals the strange speed with which the coverup occurred;

“(The UFO sighting) had to be something that we were working on, we knew all about it, we were in on it. Even though we might not have known the detail...The fact is whoever it was, the authorities responded so rapidly, so quickly they must have just been sitting on the trucks with the engine going.”

What Does Fierce Denial Imply?

We’ll never know how real an agreement is between the American government and Grey aliens until there is disclosure, assuming the public would be told this, but a meeting similar to the one that has so far been described would explain why the American government handles UFOs so secretively in comparison to other countries. It’s almost like they know something that they don’t want the population to know. 

For example, during the Belgium wave of UFO sightings that occurred between 1989 and 1991, government authorities and the Air Force cooperated with witnesses and civilian research groups. There were over 2000 UFO reports, often involving a large triangular craft with multiple witnesses, including police officers. The Air Force investigated 650 of the reports, 500 of which were agreed to be of an unknown aircraft from an unknown origin. The investigation was coordinated by Maj. Gen. Wilfried de Brouwer, Chief of Operations for the Belgium Air Force, who spoke openly that the crafts witnessed were of unknown origin and that to fully understand them there should be better coordination within the government.

Or this public statement issued in the 70s from General Carlos Castro Cavero, a Spanish Air Force General:

“The nations of the world are currently working together in the investigation of the UFO phenomenon. There is an international exchange of data. Maybe when this group of nations acquires more precise and definite information, it will be possible to release the news to the world.”

Take this in contrast to the American government who is very quick to discredit a trained and dedicated observer such as an airplane pilot or police officer. Such as the in the 1966 Portage County UFO sighting in which police officers chased a UFO for 86 miles. Yet in the United States Air Force’s Project Blue Book it was recorded the police officers had confused the planet Venus in the night sky with a moving UFO.

Or the creation of the 1966 Condon Committee to study the UFO phenomenon, which was financed by the United States Air Force. It was revealed through leaked memos that the committee was created to purposefully mislead the public, purposefully debunk the UFO phenomenon, and yet appear objective.

Do They Know the Agenda?

It appears those in the know, or some group of them, possibly see the alien agenda as a threat. I feel it’s important to put the Grey alien agenda of merging our societies with hybrids, into context. It is a complex agenda that involves decisions we as a race have made, and it requires wisdom to understand how it is beneficial to our species. It’s hard to know if the leaders who have this information have this wisdom. I would like to believe they know the population needs to know this information. It seems that there might be forces that think this is the case, but there are also clear forces that see the Greys as a threat, and the agenda can appear that way.

In October of 1955, a year after the apparent meeting with Eisenhower and Grey aliens, the Mayor of Naples, Achille Lauro, famously relayed a private conversation he had with American General Douglas MacArthur to the press saying that the general expressed a belief the people of Earth might find themselves facing an extraterrestrial confrontation, and that Earth would have to unite to survive a common front against attack by people from other planets. The next day the Chicago Tribune ran the headline “MacArthur Fears Space War.”

In May 1962, MacArthur again made a statement implying the possibility of future interplanetary conflict:

“You now face a new world, a world of change. We speak in strange terms, of harnessing the cosmic energy...of ultimate conflict between a united human race and the sinister forces of some other planetary galaxy."

In 1987, Ronald Regan, who has been well documented being kept abreast of major UFO sightings during his time as president, addressed the United Nations famously saying:

“I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.”

Luis Elizondo revealed that the Pentagon UFO program he was running, AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program), was shut down in part because of the Evangelical Christian religious beliefs of those higher officials in the program.

George Knapp, the investigative journalist, who has worked alongside Elizondo, tweeted:

“...a cabal of religious fundamentalists inside the national security apparatus believes UFOs and paranormal are satanic and by studying them, we risk inviting Satan into our world.” – George Knapp, Tweet Sept 4th, 2018

Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator with the UK’s Ministry of Defense, claimed to have also experienced senior government officials whose belief in God and demonic forces prevented further government action in the investigation into UFOs.

Do They Know the Beings' Positive Intentions?

If they really saw the agenda as an actual invasion of a foreign species, then you would expect those who know at the top to act in a more threatened way, which doesn't always seem to be the case.

For example, as mentioned previously, UFOs have shown us they cannot just deactivate nuclear missiles but activate them as well. In 1966 a UFO appeared over Minot Air Force base, and from a distance it activated a nuclear missile, so it was in countdown to launch. When the UFO disappeared, the missile was deactivated.

In 1967, Air Force Capt. Robert Salas was overseeing 10 ICMs when they all suddenly became inoperative. At the same time base security informed him of a mysterious red glowing object in the sky outside the base.

If a single UFO can activate, or disable the strategic nuclear capability of a country, it has to be considered a threat by that country. What’s to stop a government official from thinking with that capability, a nuclear weapon could be remotely aimed at a civilian or government target. It could be argued the government feels so helpless that they don’t do anything. But the government's apparent inaction to this threat could also be a sign that the intentions of the Beings, at a higher level, are understood. This would be in line with other actions the Pentagon has made regarding disclosure.

In 1972-73, the movie producers Robert Emenegger and Allan Sandler were apparently approached by the Pentagon to make and release a video for the public on creating awareness about extraterrestrials. They had seen actual Air Force film footage of a meeting between humans and Greys, that occurred at Holloman Air Force base in 1971. Then, before production, it appeared the Pentagon got cold feet and cancelled the project.

Or how Tom DeLonge and his production company, To the Stars Academy, was able to form a relationship with the Pentagon and use his company as a platform for disclosure. He explained on Joe Rogan’s podcast:

“The only way you meet with these people, the only way you can have anyone talk to you is if you can provide a service that they need. And my service was pretty interesting to them because I said, “You guys struggle with saying disclosure, you want to tell everybody everything...And then you say they (the public) can’t handle it so you don’t tell them anything.” And I’m like there’s a middle road there, and here’s how I would do the middle road. And it resonated with them.”

His comment about how he got to work so closely with the Pentagon speaks to their overall intentions.

Senator Harry Reid, who initiated the Pentagon’s UFO program AATIP, is on record saying:

“Of all the information that I have, which is quite a bit, I think there is no indication, whatsoever, that they are harmful, (whatever is operating the UFOs). Kind of scary to be honest with you but there’s no indication of there being a reason to be afraid of them. But I think they’re big time scary.”

It is obvious, from the complex nature of the Beings, that some forces may see them as a threat, while others may see them as benevolent and beneficial to mankind.

The Error of Our Ways

So, what’s going on? Could it be that we had a misstep in our human evolution? When one looks at our human history it is easy to see where we may have gone wrong.

After the fall of the Roman Empire in the fifth century the Catholic Church slowly became the dominant power in Europe. The Christian religion became the voice for human spirituality with the majority of the people living in the Middle Ages believing in the church. Though it could be argued today that the Christian religion is not a complete picture of the human spiritual experience. My personal opinion is that all human religions contain some higher truths and wisdom, yet these can be shrouded in confusions and interpretations within geopolitical and historical contexts. The Catholic Church was of no exception to this, often demonizing or moralizing extra sensory experience, while claiming the existence of a dimension of punishment (i.e., hell) to force the population to be “good” and follow commandments. With the lack of education throughout the Middle Ages most people relied on the church to read and interpret the Bible, as well as to interpret any spiritual experience they may have had. An individual personally reading and interpreting the Bible for themselves is a relatively new phenomenon within the last several hundred years.

In the 1500s science and religion had a close relationship, with many famous scientists being deeply religious. Such as Sir Isaac Newton, who believed he was learning about God when he discovered gravity, or the mathematician Roger Bacon. But as science gave way to new understandings of the Universe, the Church quickly denounced them for creating knowledge about the world outside the Bible. In retaliation, science quickly began attacking the church and the Bible.

What followed in the 1600s would become known as the Age of Enlightenment and the Age of Reason and it was rooted in undermining the authority of the Catholic Church and the monarchy. It was a revolution against religious thinking that had previously dominated scientific exploration. Most attribute the beginning of the Age of Enlightenment to Rene Descartes’ quote “I think therefore I am.” His philosophy, among others of this period, began the Age of Reason.

But it is in these acts of rebellion against the church that formed some of the world's current problems. One of the overarching themes from my experience with the Beings is that the seat of our consciousness is our heart, and our thinking is produced from our Being. Therefore, Decartes couldn’t be any more wrong because it is not “I think therefore I am,” it is “I am therefore I think.” It is a change of inner perception of what and who the human is. We are a heart, a being, and consciousness with a Source. This is our spirit. For me this is not a philosophy, but a fact born from experience.

Therefore, it can be seen that the Age of Enlightenment changed fundamental philosophical approaches to life. Instead of once believing in holistic thinking, where the phenomenal world was seen as a web of interconnectedness, and God as the overarching intelligence, now the world had become about individual sciences, analyzing one part, understanding it, and cataloging it, without recognizing the integration of the whole.

An example of this is in the medical field mental illness is diagnosed as a brain problem without recognizing the role of thoughts in mental health. Or disease or illness is often diagnosed as a problem with the body without taking into consideration the role of the mind in causing it.

Every science started with taking apart it’s area of study and isolating it from its holistic perspective. It’s not to say this type of analysis doesn't have its place, but to focus on it solely was at a cost. Only in the modern era are we beginning to find sciences bridging their fields to create a larger holistic understanding. The whole personal wellness field is driven by a holistic perspective.

But this root separation is within every part of our society. We treat economics, public education, and politics as separate parts hoping they complement each other, but their own individual interests can eventually and subtly override the needs of other parts of the social system.

The Age of Enlightenment’s rebellion against the church is the historical framework we live in today. The result is logic, reason, and the scientific mind dominate our world view and with it we eradicated mythology, intuition, and wisdom. These last three may seem frivolous but they are parts of our human psyche.

Most assume we don’t need mythology, but we are unconsciously living out our own personal mythology everyday, as every TV show or movie you find appealing, their plot and characters, interacts with the depth of your own personal mythos. We all have intuition, which is knowledge beyond space and time, and there is no system in our society that supports its exploration. And we each have individual wisdom, every single one of us, and no system in our personal world helps us explore that.

These parts of our consciousness and collective psyche, that are real and true, are treated as personal choices we make in our lives and not as necessities. They have been eradicated by our own historical evolution as a species, yet they continue to exist in the human psyche without any type of formal recognition.

The scientific revolution was a revolution against religious thinking that had dominated human progress. In the process rejected the only spirituality we knew at the time. Now seeing the necessity for spirituality in understanding the Beings dimensionality it now looks like there was a misstep in our evolution as a species.

Is it possible that the nature of civilizations throughout the Galaxy is evolution of their spiritual wisdom and understanding alongside their technological advancements? Possibly, we are the odd ones out, and that it is normal for a society to be collectively spiritual. That the nature of reality, the Universe, and individuation, is a recognition that our consciousness is an aware energy that lives on after the death of the body. The application of this truth in our everyday society would change what humans stand for and who we think we are. And, therefore, presently, we have done something truly dangerous, we evolved our technology separate from wisdom, from collective thinking, and from spirituality.

It is apparent to me this is the time we need to bring back a collective recognition that we continue to live after death, that we have a higher self that “volunteers us” to live out the life we’re living on this planet, and that our true consciousness is connected to a place of no space and no time. And I’m convinced this new era of recognition of the spirit will be with the Beings.
